Osaka FTW.
Mar. 10th, 2010 09:10 pmWe just got back from Osaka! I had some pictures, but my camera is charging right now and I don't feel like getting it all rearranged again. Tomorrow: pics from Ueno Park and the shinkansen (bullet train) to Osaka.
We actually did not spend much time touring Osaka, which is sort of a pity because if we'd been there longer and figured the open subway ticket was worth the Y2,000, we could have gone to the castle area, etc. Nevertheless, we are pleased! We can say we've been to Osaka. I definitely want to go back.
As it was, today we: managed to get lost to the point of needing help from strangers twice, had a bento on the shinkansen, rode the shinkansen, walked for hours around two neverending department stores, did a hilarious round of Purikura (Yuwen! Are you happy?) and fell asleep on the way back to Tokyo and the cleaning ladies had to wake us up.
